Rental Policies
BOOKING
- To secure dates, the Rental Party must pay a deposit of the amount listed in their Rental Agreement and submit a signed Rental Agreement.
PAYMENT
- A non refundable deposit is required to secure the date of the rental (20% of total rental cost or $1000 for a wedding) Full payment of the rental fee is required one month prior to arrival.
- All renters will be charged a non negotiable cleaning fee. Renters are expected to leave the property and facilities the way they found them, as outlined in the Rental Agreement.
DAMAGES
- Rental parties agree to pay for damages as outlined in the Rental Agreement.
DISCOUNTS
- As a charity, Stepping Stones does not provide discounts on rentals. This is to avoid bartering, provide fairness to all rental parties regardless of donations, volunteers or goodwill towards camp, and to promote the purpose of our rentals: to send more kids to camp.
RENTAL PRIORITY
- Rentals that include The Lookout at Stepping Stones may be prioritized at the discretion of the booking coordinator. (This just means if there is an event on the property, this group will have the first opportunity to book overnight accommodations before other groups.)
MULTIPLE BOOKINGS
- Due to a variety of rentals available, multiple bookings are allowed on the property. If more than one rental exists concurrently, the booking clerk will provide a courtesy notice to other renters. Multiple bookings are at the discretion of the booking coordinator.
CANCELLATIONS
- In the event of a cancellation prior to six months of the start date of the rental, the deposit and all payments will be refunded to the Renter. If the cancellation is within one month, but before 7 days of the booking, all payments minus the deposit will be refunded. If the cancellation is within 7 days of the booking, 50% of the total rental cost will be refunded to the renter. Cancellations must be made in writing.
